  • Why am I having trouble logging into your account?
    Following are some common reasons that subscribers find themselves unable to log in and download AIRAC datasets:

    Unable to log into Navigraph account; wrong username account entered: please check the username entered is the same that has a valid subscription at Navigraph; otherwise you might see the message "No valid subscription found".
    In case the problem persists, please delete Navigraph cookies and cache, and try again.
    Other common error is is due to a new account created at Navigraph, with email not verified yet. On this link, is described the steps to follow to activate an account: https://www.navigraph.com/QuickStart.aspx

    Membership Expired or Not Yet Active: If your membership has lapsed or is not yet active, you will not be able to download AIRAC datasets, or other subscribers-only content.

  • When I press Unlock and Download button, nothing happens
    Activation page is located on menu SUPPORT/Airac Cycle or at following web address: https://www.fsaerodata.com/support/airac-cycle.

    To access validation page, you need to be registered as a user and have an active subscription with fsAerodata and Navigraph.
    The validation system is used to verify that you have an active subscription at both Navigraph and fsAerodata. Press “Unlock” button to start validation. The first step is the validation with Navigraph; the system connects with Navigraph server and a window pops up requesting rights to access your subscription information at Navigraph.

    Step 1: pop-up windows message

    Step 2: disable pop-up windows
    Image

    Step 3: login in your Navigraph account

    After authorizing access, the system verifies subscription at Navigraph and later at fsAerodata. After positive verification, the latest cycle is downloaded onto your computer. If there are any errors, they will be displayed on a pop up window.

    To speed up the authorization process on the following cycles, fsAerodata keeps authorization access information for later use. In case you need to initiate or reset, please press “Reset” button and afterwards start unlock of cycle as instructed above.
    Navigraph user log in is stored as cookies in your browser. If you need to sign in and validate as a different user with Navigraph, please delete cookies linked with Navigraph. You can find more information how to do this on the help menu of your default browser.

    If you still have problems to access Navigraph login window, check with other browser installed on your computer (Internet Explorer, IE Edge, Mozilla, Safari,...).

    If you still cannot identify a reason that you cannot log in, then please contact us at: support@fsaerodata.com

  • Download process is not complete or corrupt
    If you are are not able to download or install the cycle, the anti-virus software or firewall that you are running may be blocking your browser from performing these functions. It may be necessary for you to temporarily disable your firewall or anti-virus software.
    Some slow download speeds may force our server to interrupt the download process before reaching the end; contact fsAerodata for assistance and to access an alternative download link.

  • How can be simulated SIDs and STARs procedures on the GPS unit?
    (only Prepar3D)
    The GPS with SIDS/STARS support is named p3dgps.cab and is located on Prepar3D subfolder \Prepar3D v3\gauges.
    To enable it on any default aircraft, replace default GPS named fs9gps.cab,located on airplane panels, by p3dgps.cab.
    As example, to activate the new GPS on default Beech Baron 58 aircraft, go to folder \Prepar3D v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\beech_baron_58\panel, and open file panel.cfg.
    Search for line with text:
    gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0

    and replace by:
    gauge00=p3dgps!gps_500, 0,0
  • How to install the product?
    Installation and setup instructions are available on readme document, after install has finished, and on user manua, located on config tool, under options menu.

  • How to install Prepar3D V4 64bits or configure for an additional Prepar3D installation?

    Instructions to setup tool for new Prepar3D version:
    1. Download and install latest version of config tool.
    2. Open file default.xml with an editor; file is located at system folder on "fsAerodata Files" directory: [user name]\AppData\Roaming\fsAerodata

    2.1. By default Prepar3D V3 is setup by default. It can be modified to any version, changing its version number:
    <p3dver>Prepar3D v3</p3dver>
    Change to new trainer version: <p3dver>Prepar3D v4</p3dver>

    2.2 To add a second Prepar3D installation, e.g. Prepar3D V4, while keeping Prepar3D V3, add new name after switch "<p3d2ver>"
    <p3d2ver>Prepar3D v4</p3d2ver>

    2.3. To add a third Prepar3D installation, current FSX-Steam selection has to be used instead. Please, modify following entry (e.g. configuration for Prepar3D v2):
    <p3dveralt>Prepar3D v2</p3dveralt>

  • How Do I compensate for magnetic declination?

    Our database is based on latest magnetic declination data. FSX/P3D includes a magnetic declination table (often named MagVar table), based on 2006 data. Most functions, such as the display of magnetic heading and track line are done with reference to MagVar table built inside flight simulator. If the MagVar data is different to actual variation, this will show a small difference between track line and course. The deviation is particularly apparent on an NDB, VOR approach.

    Starting with cycle 1713, our database checks the year of MagVar table installed and updates flight simulator if necessary, with latest version.
    Our next update Year 2018 is effective on cycle 1802

  • Navaids or Approaches are not available on GPS, map, or when tuning ILS/VOR ?

    fsAerodata uses the add-on.xml method on Prepar3D v4 and higher; please verify the Add-on item 'fsAerodata' is enabled on your flight-sim and the following scenery entries are selected in the World scenery menu:
    FSAD_Comms
    FSAD_Approaches
    FSAD_Navaids

    For FSX and Prepar3D v3 and lower, please check you have the following data on scenery.cfg file at P3D programData directory (the \programdata directory is hidden by default and does not appear in Windows Explorer).
    On Prepar3D, look for following path: %programdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 (v3 if P3Dv3)
    On FSX/FSX-SE: %programdata%\Microsoft\FSX

    [Area.X]
    Title=FSAD_Navaids
    Local=[insert path to documents folder here]\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data\Navaids
    Layer=X
    Active=TRUE
    Required=FALSE

    [Area.X]
    Title=FSAD_Approaches
    Local=[insert path to documents folder here]\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data\P3D\PROC
    Layer=X
    Active=TRUE
    Required=FALSE

    [Area.X]
    Title=FSAD_Comms
    Local=F:\FS AeroData\fsaerodata files\Navigation Data\Comms
    Layer=X
    Active=TRUE
    Required=FALSE
    (following entry applies only to Prepar3D)
    [Area.X]
    Title=FSAD_Approaches1
    Local=[insert path to documents folder here]\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data\P3D\PROC_SIDs
    Layer=X

    Check following directories exist on your computer and check scenery files are in:
    FSX/FSX-SE:
    1) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/Navaids/scenery,
    2) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/FSX/PROC/scenery,
    3) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/Comms/scenery,

    Prepar3D:
    1) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/Navaids/scenery,
    2) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/P3D/PROC/scenery,
    3) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/P3D/PROC_SIDs/scenery,
    4) /Documents/fsAerodata Files/Navigation Data/Comms/scenery,

    .
  • What is the recommended order of fsAerodata entries on scenery list?

    (From top to lower priority)
    1 - FSAD_Comms (folder ...Navigation Data\Comms)
    1 - FSAD_Approaches1 (folder ...P3D\PROC_SIDs)
    2 - FSAD_Approaches (folder ...P3D\PROC)
    3 - FSAD_Navaids (folder ...Navigation Data\Navaids)

    On FSX, Prepar3D v4.5 Hotfix1 or lower, as long as FSAD entries have higher priority than 3rd party addons, FSAD approaches, comms and ILS data take preference. If FSAD has a lower priority, then native or payware addon approaches /comms/ILS take preference.

    On Prepar3D v4.5 Hotfix2 or higher, the FSAD entries must have lower priority than 3rd party airports and global scenery packs.

    .
  • How to give higher priority to fsAerodata with sceneries greyed out in scenery list?

    Several new Prepar3D add-ons are installed using the add-ons method, and as result, their entries are displayed as greyed out in the scenery list. In this case, the fsAerodata entries cannot be moved to a higher priority using the standard procedure. To overcome this limitation, there are freeware tools like Lorby Prepar3D Addon Organizer that can be of help unlocking those entries and reassigning the priority list.

    .
  • With activated database, Flight simulator crashes or freezes during scenery indexing

    It might be related with a damaged or missing file on fsAerodata database, or database incorrectly installed. The recommended action is to disable the database on each active flight simulator, uninstall the application via Windows and finally remove the following folder: [user]\Documents\fsAerodata Files
    Please reinstall the configuration tool afterwards.

    .
  • I've noticed that when I select the ATIS on several airports, I get nothing

    There is an outstanding issue on FSX7Prepar3D where the ATIS Message is not displayed or broadcasted due to a bug when the active approach for the airport is of type ILS-X, ILS-X, ILS-Z, which are part of fsAerodata database.
    A replacement of the original ATC Voice database for FSX/Prepar3D, which fixes the issue, is now available.
    Download link: https://www.fsaerodata.com/airac/downlo ... 90329a.zip Size:160MB
    Notice that using Editvoicepack will overrride the patch applied and revert to the original issue with ATIS messages.
