Not at his time but I take note to have a look later in the development regading jetways and its compatibility with GSX and SODE.
At this time, it's finished a first method to update and add the correct taxiways designators with the development currently focused on the algorithm to assign parking positions on small size airpots.
Regarding SODE, what has been tested on a prototype and is planned at this time is to implement Pilot-Controlled-Lights on airports that have such feature (the comms selectable for PCL are already available on our current db).

Hi Jose,

An interesting and possibly relevant discussion started today over at Avsim concerning aircraft placement at gates/parking. The discussion went on further as to whether this is adjustable. For example if one selects KLAX GATE C3 will that aircraft be placed too close or too far away. I have had this issue plenty of times as well, where I needed to slew back so the default jetway will be able to connect. Also with AI, the jetways simply cannot connect because the AI are too far forward. This happens a lot more with MD-80 and similar (Center Of Gravity) series In my experience.

I'm not sure what level of control, over aircraft placement adjustment you do, or possibly will have with the Airport Data Generator, but I thought I would mention this to you while you are in the early stages. Its likely you already thought of this. :)

What is planned is to have parking positions classified based on the aircraft types used in real-world, but was not aware of this specific restriction with jetways. Thanks for the input,

Unfortunately not. Basically the effort is currently on developing the tools that MS originally developed to generate the airports layout and its elements from the source data, and it's quite complex, I must say.

It is not canceled but the progress is slow, at this time with the logic to generate taxiways on medium/high complexity airports. On top of that, it's unclear what will be the market size of Prepar3D after the launch of MSFS.
I'll post news as soon as there are new results.

The new Airports in the P3D v5 have fewer gates and stands as in v4. Terrible. :|
